How we handle your light.

Last updated April 2026.

This page explains, in plain English, what data Solella collects from you, what we do with it, who else sees it, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

To compute your Human Design chart, we ask for your birth date, birth time, and birthplace (a city you select from a list, which we resolve to coordinates and a timezone). The chart calculation runs in your browser; we don't send the birth data to our servers unless you choose to buy a reading.

If you buy a reading, the birth data is sent to our payment processor (Stripe) as session metadata so we can use it to generate your PDF after payment. Stripe collects your email and payment details directly; we receive your email and the order amount but never your full card details.

We do not collect names unless you provide one. We do not require an account or sign-in for any part of the experience.

What we do with it

The birth data is used once: to generate your reading PDF. Your email is used twice: to send you the reading, and (if you ask) to send a recovery link to re-download it.

We do not use your data for marketing. We do not sell or rent it. We do not build behavioral profiles of you. We do not use it to train AI models.

Who else sees it

Solella runs on a small set of trusted infrastructure providers we share data with only to the extent needed to deliver the product:

  • Stripe — processes your payment. Sees your email, payment details, order amount, and the birth-data we attach as session metadata.
  • Amazon Web Services — hosts the site, generates the PDF, stores the PDF in S3, and sends the delivery email via SES. AWS sees the same data Stripe sees, plus the generated PDF.
  • Umami — privacy-respecting analytics. Sees anonymous page-view data (no personal identifiers).

We do not share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

The generated PDF stays in our storage for at least thirty days after delivery so the recovery flow can re-download it. Order records (your email, the chart you computed, and the PDF reference) are retained for as long as needed for support and tax record-keeping — at least one year, no longer than is reasonable.

Stripe retains payment records on its own schedule per its policy. We don't control how long Stripe keeps payment data.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your order data at any time by emailing hello@solella.ai from the address you used at checkout. We'll delete the order row and the PDF within seven days. We can't delete Stripe's records — for that, contact Stripe directly.

You can ask for a copy of the order data we hold for you. We'll send it as a JSON file to the email address on the order.

Cookies and analytics

We use Umami for analytics. Umami doesn't use cookies; it counts page views without identifying you. We don't use any other tracking cookies. The Stripe checkout flow runs on Stripe's domain and uses its own cookies, governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

Children

Solella is not directed at children under thirteen and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has used the site, write to us and we'll delete what we have.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page over time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes (new processors, new categories of data) will be flagged in a way reasonable people would notice.
